As I have mentioned before, I am a current BYU-Idaho student.

BYU-Idaho’s mission statement is to build strong testimonies about Jesus-Christ. As a private institution, BYU-Idaho is founded through The Church of Jesus-Christ of Latter-Day Saints (aka, Mormons).

In two weeks from now, BYU-Idaho will be hosting a conference for all students to attend.

Disciple-Leader Conference will take place at the BYU-Idaho’s Taylor Building. It will consist of only a few hours (9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.) on Saturday November 8th. There is a $2.50 fee that includes lunch and a t-shirt.

The purpose of this conference is to help students know what a Disciple-Leader is, how BYU-Idaho provides opportunity for Disciple-Leadership, and how we can become a Disciple-Leader.

Student Support is the one that provides the school to have a council that out their time and effort to bring this first time conference to the school. In Student Support, there are five different councils. One of them is called Disciple-Leader council. These seven students provide their time to the school and students in order for them to receive a spiritual uplift.

I would exhort all of you who read this, to join me and my friends by participating in this new experience. Becoming a leader is encourage to all. Becoming a disciple is a need.

Best,

Marivi
